INNOVATHON
The Science Department is excited to present "Innovathon" (A Marathon of Science Ideas), offering students a platform to showcase their creative concepts, apply their knowledge, and foster curiosity in the realm of innovative scientific thinking.
Eligible Grades: VI - VIII
Number of Participants: Team of 2
Guidelines:

Participants are encouraged to present innovative ideas that aim to solve real-world problems.

Identify areas in science that interest you the most. By leveraging the strengths of these diverse scientific domains, students can devise groundbreaking solutions to challenges in global issues and megatrends.

Choose a topic that resonates with your passion—your enthusiasm will drive the quality and impact of your project.
Rules:

Presentations must include a working model/experiment/activity along with a PPT.

Presentations should be a visual display accompanied by a brief oral explanation.
-
Exceeding the time limit will result in a deduction of 3 marks.

Participants must wear their school uniform.
• Judges will mandatorily ask one question per team at the end of each presentation.

Judgement Criteria:

Judges will evaluate each category on a scale of 10 points.

Presentation skills-participant's ability to effectively communicate their ideas.

Assessment of the uniqueness and creativity of the idea or solution presented.

Feasibility and application of ideas.

Participant's ability to think critically, approach problems creatively, and demonstrate a deep understanding of the topic.

Judges round of questioning based on the topic.

Preliminary Selection Round: Participants are kindly requested to share details of their chosen topics a week before the competition through a short video/PPT on saswatic@scottishigh.com.

Top ten teams will qualify for the Final Round.
