INNOVATE, INVESTIGATE, IMPACT

This inter-school competition encourages students to apply scientific concepts to create original ideas, prototypes, and models that solve real-world problems, showcasing creativity, critical thinking, and purposeful innovation.

Eligible Grades: Category 1: Grades IX–X

Category 2: Grades XI – XII

Number of Participants: Team of 2

Fields of Participation: Participants may choose one field of their choice for their project, essentially supported with a working model / prototype from:

1.Physics

2. Chemistry

3.Biology

4. Environmental Science

Note:  Teams are free to choose any field of science for their innovation. For example, if the Category 1 team selects Physics, the Category 2 team from the same school may choose Physics or any other scientific field as per their interest.

Guidelines:

  • Each school may submit one project per category.

  • All submissions must include a functional model or prototype.

  • Each team shall comprise 2–3 students from the same institution within the same category.

  • A student may participate in only one project.

  • All project documentation & presentations must be in English.

  • Projects must be original, not copied or replicated.

  • Informational displays, kit-based models, or known experiment replicas are not allowed.

  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, or misrepresentation will lead to disqualification.

  • Only offline presentations will be accepted.

Rules:

Each team must submit a complete Project Report including:

1. Summary: A brief overview of the project.

2. Significance and Uniqueness: What makes the project novel or useful?

3. Scientific Concept: Core scientific principles behind the innovation.

4. Methodology & Experimental Design: Detailed procedure, setup, charts, and tools used.

5. Graphs/Figures/Tables (as needed)

6. Results So Far: Data, findings, observations, and analysis.

7. Conclusion: Summary of outcomes, what was achieved.

8. Future Potential: How the innovation can be scaled or applied further.

9. Bibliography/References and Acknowledgements
