Talking Titans

Words can spark a revolution, reform society and create an ideal future. Inevitably words outlive their speaker, so we would like to relive these speeches that are etched forever in our hearts.

Participants will select a Historical or Political speech given by Historical or Political leaders from the 19th to 21st Century. These leaders can be National or International. Participants must orate historical or revolutionary speech delivered by their chosen leader and not a biography of the Leader.

Eligible Grades: VI-VIII (Category 1)

IV - V (Category 2)

Number of Participants: Individual

Guidelines:

Participants will announce the name of their chosen leader and where and on what occasion the selected speech was given.
The time limit is 3 minutes.
Any speech less than 2 min 30 seconds will invite a deduction of two marks from the total marks.

Hand gestures are welcomed along with voice modulation as appropriate. Students should emulate their chosen leader as much as possible.
Props can be used. Students may dress up as their chosen leader.
Speech can be delivered in English or Hindi as per the choice of the participant.
Participants found using any unfair means (reading from paper) will be disqualified.
Judge’s decision will be final

Relevance to the topic and content 10 marks

Presentation/delivery 10 marks

Confidence 10 marks
